OEM/ODM Frequently Asked Questions

Everything buyers ask before starting a laptop, tablet or mini PC OEM/ODM project — answered by a factory, not a sales agent.

FAQ

What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ) for OEM laptop projects?

MOQ depends on the model and customization level. Stock-model OEM projects (custom logo, OS and packaging) typically start from a small pilot batch, while ODM development projects usually require larger volumes to amortize tooling and R&D cost. Contact us with your target model and volume — we will confirm the exact MOQ in your quotation.

How long is the lead time for samples and mass production?

Stock model samples are usually ready within 7–10 days. Mass production lead time is typically 15–30 days after sample approval and deposit, depending on order size and component availability. We provide a production schedule with milestone updates so you always know where your order stands.

Can I customize the logo, OS and packaging?

Yes. Our standard OEM service includes logo printing or engraving, custom OS image (Windows / Android / Linux), preloaded software, and custom packaging design. For ODM projects we can also tailor hardware, BIOS and firmware. All customization options are confirmed in the contract before production.

What certifications do your products carry?

Our products are manufactured under an ISO-certified quality system and can be certified for CE, FCC, RoHS and other destination-market requirements. Battery shipments comply with UN38.3 transport regulations. Certifications are arranged according to your target market and confirmed during the quotation stage.

Do you support private label / white label products?

Yes — private label is our core business. We help brands launch their own laptop, tablet or mini PC lines with custom branding while keeping competitive pricing, so you can focus on sales and distribution.

Can you develop a completely new product (ODM) from scratch?

Yes. With 50+ R&D engineers, we support full ODM development: hardware design, tooling, firmware, certification and production. The process starts with a requirement review and NRE quotation, followed by prototypes for your approval before mass production.

What payment terms do you accept?

We typically accept T/T bank transfer; for first-time cooperation a deposit is required before production, with the balance paid before shipment. Other arrangements (such as L/C for larger orders) can be discussed. All terms are stated clearly in the sales contract.

How do you ensure product quality during mass production?

Quality control follows a documented process: incoming material inspection (IQC), in-process quality control (IPQC) during assembly, and final inspection (FQC / OQC) before packing. We can also arrange third-party inspection before shipment if your procurement policy requires it.

What is the difference between OEM and ODM?

OEM means we manufacture an existing product design with your branding and configuration. ODM means we design and develop a new product around your requirements. If you have a specification sheet, we can advise which approach fits your timeline and budget.

Do you provide after-sales and warranty support?

Yes. We provide warranty service according to the terms in your contract, including spare parts supply and technical support for your local service network. Warranty details are agreed before mass production.

Can you ship to my country with full export documentation?

Yes. We export worldwide by sea, air or express, and provide complete export documentation including commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificates of origin and any required compliance documents for customs clearance.
